It's been a while since I last shared an update, but today, with the early warmth of a 50-degree day in Vermont, I'm back with a glimpse into my latest textile piece. This work-in-progress captures a roadside moment-one rich with the robust textures and scents of the land.

Right now, I'm focused on the foundation, the bottom of the scene. Layers of free-motion stitching and fabric come together to shape the roadside terrain. Soon, I'll be working my way uphill, bringing a barn and sky into the composition. stitching my way toward the horizon.

I'm sharing not only an image of the front but also the backside of the piece--where the raw, unfiltered energy of the stitching tells its own story. I am excited to see what it will look like completed!
